Mathematical model-based redesign of chickpea harvester reel

Aim of study: This paper presents a mathematical modeling approach to redesign the reels chickpea harvesters for harvest efficiency.Area A prototype harvester was designed and evaluated on Dooshan farm University Kurdistan, Sanandaj, Iran.Material methods: The strategy used reducing harvesting losses derived from dynamic study reel applied harvester. machine such that bats power take-off (PTO)-powered reel, in conjunction with passive fingers, pods anchored plants throw into hopper. trochoid trajectory concerning kinematic index, plant height spacing determined redesigning reel.Main results: design allowed an estimation orientation at time impact. experimentally validated model offers accurate low computational cost method reels.Research highlights: new implemented four fixed-bat 40 cm above ground axis, featuring index 2.4 capable efficiency over 70%; significant improvement performance.
